Pedestrian Path

LOCATION: West, north, and east sides of Reservoirs Complex
The Silver Lake Pedestrian Path is designed to keep pedestrians on a safe running/walking surface and out of the street, away from traffic. The Path was built in phases:
West Silver Lake Drive – 2005
Off the street and onto a decomposed granite surface
Armstrong "Up and Over" – 2006
Extended and leveled previous "cliff-like" walkway for a safe experience. Lights were added in 2010.
Silver Lake Boulevard – 2008
Before: On concrete and facing traffic head-on (see below)
After: On decomposed granite and behind a protective barrier
Tesla Walking Path – 2012
Constructed sidewalk and converted Tesla Avenue into a one-way street to reduce car-and-pedestrian issues.
